Injured Ninja, Perth-based experimental noise rock band is hosting a special event to raise funds for their upcoming album release and tour. Having been invited to play SXSW 2011 the band will be touring the US later this year following the release of their debut full length album ‘Injured Ninja vs. Skylazer.’

The Ninjas invite you to attend the Velvet Lounge at the Flying Scotsman, Mt Lawley on the evening of Sunday January 23rd to join them for a refreshing weekend beverage and enjoy a selection of live music provided by their array of side project bands, purchase some newly release merchandise, engulf some cheap beer and pizza and for the daring old school gamers out there - contend in an epic SNES tournament that will project onto a massive screen as the bands play.

Live music for your enjoyment includes groove-twisting three-piece USURPER OF MODERN MEDICINE, the intense dub reggae of THE WEAPON IS SOUND, mind-altering filthy beats from two-piece DIRTY SYMBIOT and lush experimental pop electronics from KUCKA.

Attend early and put your name down to partake in the Super Nintendo (SNES!) tournament. Places in the competition are $5 each. There will be a STREET FIGHTER 2 competition and a MARIO KART BATTLE MODE championship. Winners will be awarded with lavish prizes and the challenges will be witnessed in wonderful mega-vision on a live projection screen. May the most talented snes-geeks reign supreme!

Exclusive new Injured Ninja t-shirts and accessories will be available on the night as well as discounted prints of their previous record releases.
