Stalwart archdukes of intense energetic noise music – Injured Ninja – launch their epic debut album ‘INJURED NINJA vs. SKYLAZER.’ An 11 track sonically sublime headfuck of a record, a suitable soundtrack to an apocalypse. Featuring singles ‘Golden Top Mountain Journey’ and ‘Fallopian Tube Screamer’ and featuring highly detailed artwork from long time Ninja collaborator Peter Long – Skylazer ties together and soundtracks the story of a world facing epic divine retribution. Guests include Novac Bull from Boom! Bap! Pow!, Tokyo-based noise artist Harico, members of French Rockets and more.

Notorious for bending minds and assaulting ears in Perth since 2007, ‘Vs. Skylazer’ captures the entire gamut of the Injured Ninja sound, blending beautifully bent electronics with intense searing guitar drone, blasting break-beats and the ambient sonic richness of deep, deep dub. Recorded by Engineer Kieran Kenderessy (Birds of Tokyo), this debut LP is the incredible culmination of Injured Ninja’s multitude of experimental forays to date.

First single from the album ‘Golden Top Mountain Journey’ was released as an exclusive 7” on Heartless Robot Productions receiving nationwide positive reviews and airplay on JJJ FM, RRR FM, PBS FM, FBi FM and RTR FM. Injured Ninja has recently played with artists such as HEALTH (US), My Disco, Nadja (CAN) and will be appearing at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Perth this February. Injured Ninja will be touring this record to the US in March in conjunction with an appearance at the 25th South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, TX. East Coast Australian launch shows are scheduled for April.
